In-home stretching · North Jersey
Stretching for back & neck pain, tension, and stiffness.
If your back, neck, or shoulders have been bothering you for a while, you've probably already tried stretching on your own. I come to your home, figure out what's really going on with how you move, and build a session around your body, not a routine.
Who this is for
- Lower back tightness that shows up after sitting, driving, or a long day on your feet
- Neck and shoulder tension from desk work, screens, stress, or poor sleep
- Stiffness that makes it hard to turn your head, bend, lift, or get comfortable
- People who've been through physical therapy and want ongoing support to keep moving well
- Anyone who feels like "just stretch more" hasn't worked
Why I don't just stretch the spot that hurts
Back and neck discomfort often isn't only about one tight muscle. It can come from how your hips move, how your upper back rotates, what's compensating, what's doing too much work, and what isn't doing enough. Stress and sleep play a part too.
So I look at the whole picture. Sometimes the answer is stretching. Sometimes you need more stability, strength, or control. Sometimes an area needs to be left alone. My job is to choose what actually makes sense for your body.
What a session looks like
- We talk. Where you feel it, when it started, what makes it better or worse, and what you've already tried.
- I look at how you move. Simple movements show me where you're stiff, where you're compensating, and what feels unstable.
- Hands-on work. Assisted stretching, mobility, and stability work chosen for you, with your comfort guiding the pressure and pace.
- A plan for between visits. A few simple things you'll actually do at home.
When to see a doctor first
I provide wellness and movement services, not medical care or physical therapy, and I don't diagnose. If your pain is new, severe, getting worse, or comes with numbness, tingling, weakness, or loss of bladder or bowel control, please see a medical provider first. I'm happy to work alongside your doctor or physical therapist.
